A few minutes ago, while I was walking Winston, a guy passed me riding a bicycle down the middle of Dilworth Road West chanting “Party, party, party. Come on Charlotte…where’s the party at? Maybe you forgot about the party? Come on Charlotte!”
I wonder if he found the party?

A customer at the fruit stand told me I smelled nice. It made my night.
The little things really add up.

Somewhere, there’s a place for Cher.

West Side Story with Cher playing each and every part. Doesn’t get much gayer, does it?

Large Hadron Collider.

Think of how smart you would have to be to design something like the Large Hadron Collider.
My favorite comment is “Don’t worry, they have confirmed that the chance that a sustainable black hole will form and consume the earth is quite small.”
I often wondered how mankind would end the world…

Rodent.
Filed Under Domestic | 3 Comments
I am sharing my condo with two creatures that have four legs and a tail. And, though I’m sure Winston’s bloodline contains more Mexican sewer rat than actual chihuahua, I’m talking about an unwelcome rodent.
Here’s my dilemma: I am psychologically unequipped to destroy something that is small, cute and furry that may or may not have a small, cute and furry family. I can’t set out traps or poison. Can’t do it. Can’t.
If anyone is willing to fix this problem while allowing me to keep plausible deniability, please contact me ASAP. I would be willing to bribe you with cookies or a baked good of your choice.

Still alive.

Oy! What a crazy-busy couple of weeks its been. Here’s the abridged version: I haven’t unpacked my new condo. I have become thoroughly obsessed with Dr. Horrible’s Sing-along blog (and consequentially Neil Patrick Harris). I’m still not smoking - 6 weeks on Tuesday. Tuesday also happened to be my birthday. Thank you for your warm birthday wishes!
I’m a bit lonely. I didn’t think I’d be so hard up for dates when I hit a quarter century. But I have my health (and some new cologne), so I guess I had better not complain.
I want one of Peter Anton’s mixed-media sculptures for the big wall in my living room. Someone get on that…
I’m out of groceries. Which is good, because I have a mouse in my kitchen. I’m having trouble bringing myself to kill it. Killing has no subtly or finesse. Perhaps I could lure it outside and convince it to never come back once it realizes how nice it is out there.
I’m in the market for some rugs. Anyone seen anything nice lately?
